Router bits

Hmm dunno about Windows compatibility, that's a question to ask. The one I was actually looking at was eBay item number: 130590929852. Dunno how that missed off the previous link I posted.

It says it will do steel, but you do sometimes have to take a little salt.

That one is Parallel meaning that you would need a desktop to drive it.... A chap I know bid on a USB one and drives it with an old laptop... He takes it in his caravan with him and does custom jobs to finance his travels. He said he bid on a few but ended up with one for AU$320...

I on'y gorra a desk top. :(

Well I did have a bid on an engraver.... USB 4axis and I put in a snipe as well.... Then I get a message that the item is no longer available... the seller, cengyuansheng3471, has also evaporated as well... What a bummer....

Interesting, I have been conversing with S&H about the engraver and what it would need (apart from extra three brains to work it) and he goes on to look and the price is mysteriously now £3k instead of c£400. Sprats for Mackerel?

;D ;D ;D Hmmmm. However they are simple to operate if you have the right software, Mach3 drives the thing i.e generates the tool paths but you need specific software to design the job before you get to that stage eg to make a PCB you need PCB design software then Mach3 will plot the cutter paths around the tracks. to make say name plates that you would normally etch to resemble cast a simple CAD program is all you need, there are other programs that will interpret a B&W photo.... The ability to 3D model is not essential....
Not sure what is going on but the price across the board seemed to escalate virtually overnight....

Quite a few fairly intuitive programs out there;

Some free others quite expensive....
