Simple Accucraft Modifications

Chris, we have to remember the P.O. add their cut of £8 for doing us the favour of collecting the £4 VAT.

Does the gas valve come with any kind of lever?
I'm thinking of possibly getting three.

Addendum...
Ooppsss!!! Just looked at the Quarry Hunslet video.
I see the lever, and the answer to my question.
Must pay attention.

The other annoying point on this, is that the Postman can't take the money, so you have to go to the Delivery Office to pay and collect.

Bob - I have just checked and the threshhold for any import charge is £15.01 - thats about $22

Cheers Chris, that's ideal for these bits. I got caught before, with something else. Used to be, when I joined the P.O. that the Postie would collect any charges, but nowadays they daren't in case someone thinks they are worth 'knocking over'. :o

Hi folks
Just to let you know that while the gas valve works perfectly on the Quarry Hunslet, there seems to be some variation in the Edrig gas valve body meaning that the spindle might be too short for some. I had to modify mine on the lathe to get the needle to seat and I have heard of another with a problem. I have also heard of one that was fine. Jason Kovac is on the case.

The regulators are not affected and seem to work well.
Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the caveat, Chris.
I'll wait a while before ordering. I'm hoping they'll fit Lawley & Wrekin too.
Probably best to wait 'till the holiday euphoria is over!
