Snow and LGB

Ok one of those questions, i have been wanting to ask for a while...

Having cleared my track to run something and the participate in the tread below, and then seeing other peoples pics,
of locos having been driven through heavy G Scale snow drifts as in .. http://www.gscalecentral.net/Snowy-photos-m254675-p3

Just has me curious, as to how much snow will these locos take before it finds a way into the inner workings as it were, and cause problems.
You know if there is a way to let sound out via a speaker grille, or an open cab, or cab window to access a switch, then there has to a way for snow
to get in, then melt and then find a way past.

Yes i know they have a certain amount of built in weather proofing, but nowt is totally weather proof.

I accept the above without question. I've run mine in the snow (but whossed out this year) without problems.
I feel that the important thing, snow or no snow, is to store the locos in a warm dry place afterwards.
