Sunny Day On The Farm

Now that its has been outside for over a year, I thought I would take advantage of a pool of Autumn sunshine to record how the farm is settling in nicely, with the surrounding plants becoming established. Most of it built from Alcan Forex with a few bits of Playmobil toy absorbed into the structure and fiddly chunks of tile sheet to form the (deliberately saggy) roof. It sits in the 'V' formed by the junction to the higher-level branch.

Wish I'd been a little more careful to clear off the leaves before deploying the camera!

It is always best using carefully selected real plants as their texture always adds depth to a scene.

That looks superb have you thought of adding one of those miniature speakers that play of an sounds off an SD card?, cattle mooing , tractor chugging , bird song and so forth ? could work well , also been considering this method of adding an element of sound to my line.

Smashing idea, thanks, Garry. I am hoping to open up next summer for the annual village charity Open Gardens day and a touch of showmanship would help. I think I could hide a speaker and MP3 player in there for the day, at least. My earliest inspiration has always been those trips to the Model Village in Great Yarmouth I made as a small child and appropriate sounds coming from the models most definitely feature strongly in those memories, along with buying tiny tins of biscuits from the model 'factory' at the end of the tour. I've already recreated the best memory, having two trains pass noisily through a tunnel beneath the path. All very Freudian - I'll probably even wear short trousers for the occasion but not sure about making candyfloss and doughnuts!
