The LLR (Littleover Litttle Railway)

Looking like a good star there!
I would just re-iterate what others have said, and would try to space the tracks a little further apart on the extension.
Enjoy!

For R1/R2 the spacings from centre to centre should be 165mm.

For R3 and greater, the spacings are 185mm.

However these are the minimum which you will get using 2 points in a crossover configuration. If you want or need a larger '6 ft' then you can always link the curved roads of a crossover with a short straight of 150/300mm....

Good day in the garden today :-)

Ran some trains, including my new Bachmann Porter:

Broke ground on phase two:

And my son had a go at driving for the first time (under close supervision) :-)

Child labour being used in the Age of Austerity? ;)

Nah - can't be Austerity - the 'Porter isn't an 0-6-0.... :D

Ha ha! Nor a saddle tank :D

Realised that I have not posted any photos of our railway for a while. Slow progress between other jobs but slowly making its way down the garden.

The other main development is the ticket office. Not quite to scale but right size for the station master :-)

Finally connected up the bottom loop on my railway today with track on the final bridge. Still some fine tuning to do but at last, I have a long continuous run. :-)

A few photos showing the progress over the winter:

Still some planting, fine tuning and lots of testing to do :-)

Attaboy - I am an incurable tail chaser, and the new railway will be one long continuous loop - when I get a round tuit ;););)

I like the bridge leading into the tunnel. Looks like the bridge serves a purpose too, to span an inconvenient tree trunk. Thanks for pointing me to those tunnel mouths too, I'm very happy with them!

Yes, then the landgrab spreads to Mickleover, down the Utttoxeter road and the world is ours. Maybe even take in Markeaton park as a subsiduary.... Muahahahaha
