Tramway "stanchions" (?)

For my indoor (winter modelling) tramway, I need a few stanchions - right word? The layout is in a difficult corner to photo, but..

Anyway, made these:

Base bit - old mastic tube top. Frame - kit sprue from a mate. Spandrels - washers.  Ponty-down bit - screw cup caps. Electrical - the guts of 2 three-way switches (Chinese). I need to put a finial on the centre-top - forgot!

Cost less than AU50c

Very Nice but to give you the correct nomenclature they are "ornate centre traction poles" and a finial will give them a certain "flamboyance"....
