Just a quick update on my re-routing:
The phase 2 route next to the back of the engine shed never really worked, I did see if I could get a crossing is to keep the line but the geometry was all wrong, some trio fits and pondering.

The new configuration confirmed as viable.

The three slabs laid and the crossing fitted, more slabs to go and double track, turning left behind/under the seat, and culminating in a dog bone for a nice long out and back.

Used for minor adjustment, and easing of fittings. Funny how it (the lump hammer) just turned up one day a couple of years agoIs the "Lump hammer" there in case you get frustrated with the math.....
