Interesting - what are they made of, please?

A type of hard foam, I think - they are very lightweight. While they are probably not very strong physically, I would think that they are pretty good on the weatherproofing front.....
Just fine in a location where they are not going to get bashed around!

Jon.

I thought that might be the case. Many thanks.

Pola engine shed doorways are 230mm high from the floor and 135mm wide. That should be enough for most LGB stuff but some Bachmann 1:20 scale locomotives with large balloon stacks may need more room than that.

They are fine for straight track Gizzy but there is not much wiggle room for overhang on corners.

That might be an issue Alan, but for only £19 a pair, I might just try them out....

If you do, please let us know how they fare.
Would have preferred a double track portal, but Busch only do a single, so I might buy a couple of packs at Bressingham this weekend....

I am coming late on this thread but might be of interest for somebody later.

When I made my tunnel portal I had difficulties to find drawings with dimensions.
So here is what I designed for my railroad. This might be the starting point for somebody else, ..... better than nothing !
