Winton

The escape room is very much done now, track is down with room for 4 - not very long - trains and a loco on coal. I can now start bringing the buildings in and get the cars/trucks out to give me a small slice of Winton. On the plus side it's throwing it down outside and trains are running!

I can thoroughly recommend the switch tower from Pola, a good heavy kit and less than £60 at Top Slots.P_20210119_163434.jpgP_20210119_163330.jpgP_20210119_163250.jpgP_20210119_163158.jpgP_20210119_163434.jpgP_20210119_163330.jpgP_20210119_163250.jpgP_20210119_163158.jpg

Nicely done kim

Well, hello again some 16 months after the last pics in the loft. The majority of the railway has been sold leaving me with 2 piko loco's, a few coaches and wagons and the track cleaner. The loft is now full of ho american so a start will be made outside soon on a small(ish) dogbone, I can feel the backache already! I still have all the track and buildings etc. The ho uses the massoth so outside will be dc using my old Helmsman controller. Hopefully a few pics as I get going.
Cheers,
Kim

Well, the civil engineering has actually started and some track is down. Day off today with grandkids and
I'll post a pic or two over the weekend when I get over the shock of a 5v smoke unit costing around £32, I'll not bother with smoke!!

Wait until you see the price of an all-singing-and-dancing pulsed smoke unit!

I had a message this morning to say that Kim has passed away. I don't have any details but I do know he wasn't in good health. He had sold most of his LGB and converted to HO, and then out of the blue sold his HO last year. I understand they were moving to a flat in Fleetwood as it was easier to cope.

Kim passed away from a heart attack, after undergoing surgery for cancer , his funeral was well attended, we will miss him
