10-wheeler in 1:20

OK, it's been a while due to issues with decals.

Not really resolved, not very happy.

I have managed to make something passable out the rubbish wot I got sold :wits::wits::wits: by using one decal on top of another - you could say a double decal :laugh: (or perhaps not). A bit of patience ensured that there's no ghosting, and we have decals that are white on black, instead of grey on black.

And that was after he'd supplied a second set of numbers that have supposedly been through the printer twice. If that's the case, why do they have lines across the number where ther's no ink? I gave up wth him. Money under false pretences. :Looser:

Wont' be using that supplier again. :impatient:
So, watch this space. Done the varnish, just got to make a connection for the tender pickups, and fit the windows - then we'll have a photo shoot. :rolleyes:

OK Finished it ternight :thumbup::thumbup:

With a final stab to the finger with the modelling knife - managed to keep the blood off the paintwork :rolf::rolf:

Pictures L8r :wave::wave:

FINISHED IT! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Great Work Ian :thumbup: Looks vey nice :bigsmile:

Nice, job well done.:bigsmile:

Nice of you to say, chaps, you're too kind.

It's OK for a budget build - the basic bug mauler (Annie) was £55, and I've probaly spent another £80 - £100 including the dodgy decals.

Still, £150 ish for a 1:20.3 large loco ain't bad - and I've treated myself to a new wagon for it to haul. :thumbup:

Have a look at the Southern Pacific shots where they hauled a tank wagon behind the loco so that the train could run non-stop in the more remote areas. Hattons have Bachmann Fn3 tankers at £49 !!:onphone:

Nice job - like it very much:thumbup:
