Just caught up with it Dick. Nice solution and impressed that you're getting good performance with what looks like 9.6 volts (assuming rechargeable cells). I can't copy you as I use an internal lighting bar which blocks the space you use. I've not yet recharged by Li-ion cell, so 12 volts with 6Ah is certainly good for 4 hours up and down dale!

Thanks for the comments . I think you could do it by building a cover for each battery block and then mount your lights across the blocks. Yes batteries are rechargeable.

Is the battery you are using one of those "Blue" batteries?
