Mike, it is a nice diner, however breakfast in the hotel for me (when SWMBO is finally ready).

Bl**dy papers! :mad::mad::mad:

Things are going to be tight.. Don't mention breakfast.. :(

A good show, I thought. The layouts were all well detailed - none of the track thrown on table tops here.
A few piccys just to show the 'scenery'.

Apparently there were over 100 traders, selling just about anything from books through nuts and bolts to live steam locos, Yet there still seemed plenty of space. Loads of visitors too.

It was a good show - Mike absolutely wore me out :whew::whew::whew:
Wot me? Or are we talking about Mike mike? Bye the bye Rhino I just got an invitation from eBay to list up to 100 items over the next two days (any format) and selling fees will be limited to a maximum of £1 per item. Just as we were discussing earlier.
I had a great day. Met Rhino, Mike, Gizzy, Casey, Stockers, Jimmy B, PhilP, Dunnyrail and a few others (old age is showing as I've forgotten names already). It was a good show, I purchased some spares and also a Rugens 080 which I left with Peter of Chalk Farm to fit a Massoth XLS. After the Show I went to The Nene Valley for lunch and a trip on the Battle of Britain Class loco. Also took a couple of the G Scale outdoor layout in operation at Wansford Station. There is also another one at the Peterborough Station.

First time I've managed to get to the Peterborough show, and I'm glad I did. Somehow (probably due to having SWMBO looking over my shoulder) I managed to come away 'only' (Hah!) £80 lighter than when I went in. The few goodies I bought and the layouts we saw have given me my mojo back a little bit, so I might even get some work done on the railway this year. I even got a man-hug from Mike. :D

Or even G Scale Central Sweat Shirts?

....not a silly idea. Our G scale group had some made up, then the manufacturer offered 'alternative' wording, so long as it was the same font, for no set up fee, so a few of us got shirts done with our own railway names. Got a bit of stick for choosing Australian colours, but I politely corrected the heathens by informing them that they were really the official Hutt Valley colours.

JR modelling the Wellington Group shirt.

A few Don'ts when doing apparel.

1. Don't use a light colour for the basic shirt.
2. Don't get tempted with screen printing. Nothing worse than seeing your prized shirt's printing disintigrating after the third wash.

G Scale Central logo, in reverse colour to that on the top of the page, on a shirt of the same colour as the logo, would look nice....... hmmm.....

We can produce those. We do a full range of embroidered items, polos, fleeces, sweats, hoodies, caps and beanies etc, along with mugs, coasters, Keyrings and the like. Good way to raise a few quid for the group too.

Did you say American Breakfast? The California Zephyr unceremoniously dumps you in Omaha at 5 in the morning.... one must eat. Breaky, for 4, my shout, change out of $25.00

Two tempting offer in one thread! - Though I doubt breakfast for 4, under $25 these days?
