Hi there
I am completely new to this wonderful hobby and have no idea where to start. I loved the idea of having a garden railway after watching the garden railway series with Mark Found when I was a teenager. I have since bought a house and my wife has given me permission to start a garden railway. So I decided to subscribed to garden railway magazine and join this forum. I cam across a couple of model ideas and decided to give something a ago. The 2 biggest ideas have come from Ian Sharples and Ray Dunakin. They are both phenomenal model makers. Check them out below

The project below is for my main station area.
I bought a brass rod thing from B & Q to create the brick effect.

I then cut out the doors and windows and started marking the bricks etc.

After cutting everything out I glued the sides together

Then started to add the tiles to the roof and also put a chimney in

It is now ready for a few more touch ups and the paint job. I also added led flashing which was an old tooth paste tube cut up and glued.

I will upload more picture once I have sorted a few other bits out and start painting. I have nothing on the 2 guys above and probably should have chosen a slightly simpler project but if I can help you with anything please let me know.
