Hunting success Aristocraft Class 66

Yep gimme gimme gimme :rofl::rofl::)

Hey Trekk! - the line forms behind me! .... :D

Seriously though - since the begining of your thread - I've managed to aquire my first Aristo 66 in pristine full DRS compass livery and I finally understand this whole Aristo 66 cult thing. It's no wonder that Aristocraft went bust trying to make these superb models at such a low price.

I would be very interested to hear your recommendation for a good sound system to do them justice - the ones that I've heard just don't seem very good, even though the factory installed speaker appears to be of good quality.

It has to be the Phoenix Sound unit for me..
Unfortunately, whereas you may get a '66 cheap, the Phoenix Unit will make your eyes water!
Oh, and it is only a sound card (DCC and analogue), but only sound, not a motor decoder.

The tinted windows and mirrors are a retro fit found on both versions.
The Loksound XL also has a Euro 66 or you can get the rather good Legomanbiffo sound file on a XL.
The light clusters are different as the later batches had the new spec lights. Only the EWS and initial FL batches had the small lights on the pod.
Lovely model and a real shame they only brought out the container flats as a couple of different 4 wheel wagons would have provided much more flexibility in train length. TTA tanks and MHA/ MTA types are often seen as long takes or 2-5 wagons.
When Accucraft dropped the intended 08 and 37 I sold my 66's because despite being lovely models it seemed a waste to sit in the box.
