I don't believe it !

I may have a last ditch solution for your desire to have a Pola coaling tower.
IF all else fails I have a Pola coaling tower I am willing to offer up for sale. I bought it many years ago at a train show. I THINK it has been used although it looks new and is in the original box.
I purchase a thinking I would model in 1900th century steam but ultimately changed to mid 20th century.
If you are interested, make me an offer in USD. I will ship it your choice. I have had 100% success using USPS when shipping overseas on the past.
Tom K.
Best communication; p.m me

Best communication;

Hi Tom. I have emailed you. You might want to remove your email address from your post. Thank you, Max

S'a bugger :(:(

Might be worth pushing a few buttons at Evri - give a few kicks, complaints department and all that. Normally, I wouldn't suggest it, but the item is a desired thing.

Oh, I have started that process, more as a belt a braces number (show due dilligence to ones you are claiming from - PB and adjudicator - ebay) Evri decide which level of engagement they want not the customer. If you know any hidden buttons let me know Rhino :) Max

Unfortunately I don't as I've never had to claim from them.

I know some companies try to hide, but I just wondered if there was a way to park your tank on their lawn.

Small claims court is a possibility. A bit of bad publicity on any forums or chat rooms you're on. Don't forget one bad word negates at least 10 good ones

MMM, small claims court won't work as Max doesn't have a contract with Evri

Public bad-mouthing may work, but as Max says, in some areas Evri don't enjoy good publicity anyway, so they may just turn their back.

Complaints procedure is underrated, unless you have experience of how it works against you - i.e. unless you've been in organisations where you have to respond to them.

As a complainer, you don't necessarily see any direct benefit, but the cost and disruption behind the scenes when the complaints stack up is what sometimes makes a complaint worthwhile. It links directly to a company's ISO 9000 registration, and is frequently taken seriously by senior management - but only when the stats go bad. ;);)

So, this morning a communication from Evri, in response to my 2nd "where is it ?" request - "Sammie has completed a full search of your local depot and cannot find your parcel. Contact sender". Thank you Sammie, whoever or whatever you are (can't be too careful, those bots get everywhere) So, in so many words it has disappeared into the great void never to be seen again (except possibly in a future episode of Yesterday TV's Vectis auctions promo "Scouting for Toys").

Ebay contacted, they will contact "the seller" (err, should that not be Ebay GSP, aka Pitney Bowes, not Trainz who have, enabled contractually, run a mile from this buyer) and I should contact them if the seller does not respond to their prompts by October 7th ! So Ebay, your left hand does not know what the right is doing, very reassuring. Now you'd think Ebay's sophisticated algorithms would have sussed from the outset that in this instance, even their own tracking and logging systems will tell them, that this one has landed on their own branded doorstep.....although not mine. Stay tuned, if you are still awake or even interested. Max

Well, that was quick. Communication from Ebay CS UK arrived a short while ago - My package never even made it to the GSP hub in the USA, never mind the UK. So how did the GSP/PB tracking system show it passing from the US hub to the one in the UK,, customs and on to the Evri local depot (on their' and Evri's system) ? The phantom package of old Donnington Castle (ok, East Midlands airport) strikes again.

Long and short - full immediate refund (it showed up on my PayPal a/c as I read Ebay email). So, not wishing to look a gift horse in the mouth I shall not mention the above anommaly to the CS. Although they did say they were sure I would find another for sale on their site shortly - something you want to share GSP ? :D :D :D ;) Max

Unbelievable evil bay sales LGB 23363 G Scale Kirnitzschtalbahn Streetcar Train With a Decoder And Sound | eBay

Even for an LGB tram this price is unbelievable

I suppose a clue is in the name of the trader :D The problem with a lot of US listings, and those from other countries where the currency is fairly robust, is that you are looking through the prism of appalling £ exchange rates when Ebay does the headline conversion.. Although, yes, this looks a bit wild. Max

No you haven't - you have had scam messages from criminals purporting to be Evri and Royal Mail.

My personal suspicion is that one of the major online retailers is being hacked, in a passive way that isn't obvious to them.

If we, SWMBO and I, order anything more than two things at any one time, we are almost guaranteed to get one of those scam texts ;););) and, to be fair, we are mot people who exclusively use Amazon.
Fair point, normally, I qualify it by “purported to be from. …” :(
