Lazy Grange Bay 3...a new start

Thank you sir !
Struggling with the locks...
It's too cold for me fingers
And too cold for my head to think..
Realistically I need to install the 1st one and build upwards..and that is the way forward I think...in spring. I have done as much as I can on the second lock to a degree...it needs to sit on top of the 1st one to get it to line up..and at the moment it's akin to juggling water.20171219_115748.jpg

you should try to -cold juice- think at -icewater- 45°C...-icecream!-
swimsuit, strawhat, cold drink, till the neck in the pool, singing "jingle bells"...

at least you get something done. here it is pure nothingness.
over the years i learned the wisdom of the british cusom to call back the colonial officers and employees every three years.

Thank you Korm,
Pondering mode engaged and a bit of a think .. I am intending the locks to sit on a wooden sub frame .
.but as usale ..plans change.. May be I can build the locks sepertly..to start with..and then join them together ..this resolves the fitting together issues I had out side...stuff to ponder 20171221_132153.jpg

Testing today...hangover to match20171224_133525.jpg 20171224_133502.jpg 20171224_133431.jpg

...hangover to match

Oh tut tut!... (Did I manage to say that without slurring?)

I trust you had a pilotman in those circumstances.

Bit more snow this week..

Is your plough loco chipped, Mike, or analogue?
I've got the same one (bought secondhand) and am planning to chip it at some point, just wondered if you did yours, how you wired the flashing roof lights?

Jon.

It came with the direct decoda interface jon...push fit a mts2 and flip the dip switches I think was all it took

Thanks Mike, that's very handy to know - it obviously gets round any worries about re-wiring the lights! In that case I must dig out a spare 55021 or Massoth L to put in mine, it's the exact same model so will presumably have the same plug-in interface, I'll have to get it out and check.....
Did you bother to put sound in yours? If I do, it will probably be with a separate S module so it won't affect the plug-in driving decoder at all.
The only thing I would never bother to put sound in is the track cleaner, it makes so much racket that you'd never hear the sound chip!

Same for me.

Brought a Massoth decoder from Muns which I installed as Mike has done....

Brrrr, I'm glad it's 80 odd degrees here.
By the way, who has been sneaking around the garden.

Mike! First he shows us the armchair comforts of the world at his feet (CCTV) then next we see where his feet have been in his world!

No sound Jon.. to be fair it's the wrong shape of plow for deep snow..it rams the snow and compacts it ..it would be better instead of a vertical blade if it lifted and spred the snow..to the sides.. it's ok if it's snowing and it's running of a small amount..but it struggles when the shows a few inches deep..
Big foot takes the photos guys!!

I was thinking the same thing Jon
