I'm well behind the times but those night shots are really something special Mike, there's not many layouts in G scale where you feel like you could properly be in the photograph and walk down the street!

We have been. Exploring the Scottish high lands, and visiting friends, Mike and jenny Lowe, in there new shop, Spey models and tea room..Mike is continuing running Carnforth models ,although he is looking for a manager to run it for him..

What a good excuse for brousing the modles wating for the coffee to cool down.

After a recent vist to see eian greens railway ,,and vist his shop,aka
Tony green steam
Jenny got to ride his ww1 gun 1/2 track..drink gin and have a fantastic time, I agreed to make eian a model of his local.

The sheds in a mess at the moment, due to me trying to create more storage and getting rid of the accumulated crap over 14 years . So..testing continues out side.
Ebay bargin, I rember mell showing a original Classics fire engine, 1/18
Been looking for 1 at the right price and eventually it happened . Also got a invite to vist a mates railway, barry and jackie from Yorkshire, which was a bvery nice day out ,

Ah, the Leeds design Dennis F8. The Dennis F8 was a very compact machine, only 2m wide and so ideal for rural areas and the narrow streets of industrial towns. The Leeds version was a unique design with access to the rear seats in the cab from the back of the machine. Maybe this made access and exit easier and quicker in narrow streets or lanes because there were no rear doors to get in the way.

the design of that truck reminds me to the still used firetruck of our neighbouring firebrigade here in paraguay.
that is a "Green Devil" from your armed forces in the fifties.
(some might remember, that i was asking about sparkplugs for that beast, some years ago)

Penny Lane, there is a fireman with an hourglass
And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen
He likes to keep his fire engine clean
