Whenever I see other people's railways and their modelling skills and then look at what I've managed to achieve I often feel like giving up. Love the railway, love the bridges and love the buildings. Well done mate. Must try to get up your way in the summer, if we get one, and I'll certainly bring some cake.

Mike - don't ignore them voices they have come up trumps so far :clap:
You could split the difference, leave the track on "open" bed, which lets
the rubbish and debris fall through, but plank down the middle,
have seen this in some, film or video some where, so it would be
protypical.
And if it doesn't look right you could add planking under the track
later :thumbup:
