Lazy Grange Bay 3...a new start

cheers andy ,it might cost a lot off cake!!
got the second canopy made today, happy with how its gone, liked the cures on the ends
got the 2 block/tackles made, and yes, they work,/move, made some brass hooks out off brass sheet,bit off fileing, and sioldered them on to the 1.3m brass chain..set it out, to have a look see, the red/white wizzy cranks was out running ,9-8pm, got bord after tea, sadly my new harts water tanker is no more a narrow gauge waggon

Excellent stuff Mike, you get better and better with everything you do on this and it wasn't half bad at the start!

Properly gutted I couldn't drop in yesterday, but as I predicted I did end up sat on the hard shoulder of the M6 waiting for the RAC so it's just as well I didn't head your way...

well the weathers pants.. so elliot and i got stuck into makeing a nother standard/narrow waggon for elliot, and fininshing off mine..both are now in prima.. post mans been,delivered me lorriea 1950/60 morrise waggon.

Mike the roll-wagens look interesting, and a very quick build! If you can track down some Bachmann Annie/Clarabel/Emily coach wheels then they work very well as wheel sets when eased out to the ends of the axles, for standard gauge wagons. Alphas the benefit of lifting the wagon a touch higher making it tower over the rest of the stock more...
 
cheers james, but i have already sorted the standard gauge wheels, ,fitting over sized wheels, would not,in my opion help matters ,as at the momment is with in my loading gauge:)

Excuse ignorence, if ive missed it in your posts,
but did you knock it up from scratch (just like that) or is it a kit

hi rob, glad you liked it, its scratch built.. useing nettys plant lables .its cost so far is (not includeing the lgb tanker) £17.00...the largest expensces was the lgb feilbarhn wheels from arcadia, at £15.00..i used 2 thin brass rods(£1.00 each) as part off the wheel chock system..the shunting pole is brass tube and flate plate drilled and soilder up.. so call it £20

busy day today, docs ect ..got the mill instaleed , wanted a weather proof box to go over it, but it ended up too heavy for me.. mills screwed down ,conected to the 12volt surplly, and detailing added, ians beautifuill truck has been repaired and set in place..if only ian and brusce would stop playing cards
