Damn, I saw that photo of the cross in the Remembrance Day thread, and thought it was a very artistic shot taken in some 1:1 village somewhere! Then came here and realised it's a model - that really is exqusite!
Excellent photos and layout.Mike. You have a great eye for detail and great skill in combining the natural landscape with the model environment. With some of your photos it is difficult to say whether it is real life or not.
The set of steps going down from the platform are superb - a hint that there's more somewhere to see.

Just trying to catch up! I like the idea of a Fresh Fish Shop. As a small boy I was always intrigued by the "new modern" style Mc Fisheries shops. The pavement windows of which would slide up to expose the fish on the slab. They had big brass handles to lift them by. It is amazing how many of the old shops still survive, we have one in Westbourne (Bournemouth) its now an electrical shop but still has the glazed tiles & the big timber window. Looks a bit odd & old fashioned now.
cheers guys ..hi steve.. its going to go opeersit the market.. behind the terices and at the side off eliots wood.. just on the left of ians extended bridge..
fannys doc martins and arkwrights will be opersit it.. next to the market
