Lazy Grange Bay 3...a new start

Blimey, Mike! That looks tough! Those hailstones must have been going some to do that sort of damage. Hope it's not going to be too difficult to put right. The tiling on the mill looks a lot more substantial - hope so anyway.

well before repairs can get underway ,i need to make room inthe shed/workshop
so progress today was welcome, managed to get the roof trusses started, and the clear perspect wall in place, the roof lines up ,and look ok ,

What a great show you are putting on here. I've just spent 3 days reading all of this. :admire:

I have one question: why are almost all of your videos private? Youtube won't let me watch them.

Regards,
Peter.

Think that's the wrong picture Mr D the new one is just to the Right or Left depending on where you look from...the new one has a different smoke box top, does that make it two or three:thumbup::thumbup:

started on the repairs to fannys roof.. one sides done.. more tiles to cut, make, ran the IVK 145 and historic coaches and waggons today

ta matey , it certianlky is a favoiurt set here..

. had a good trip to tims, few sets of lgb solid metal wheels, tins of paint ect..and calledinto maplins for the rc bmw cars.. very niuce they are too.. afternoon painting new figures in da shed.. for the historic set.. got some progress on fannys roof.. and fitted aset of thenew massoth bevels to the black saxiion meyers

today i fitted my 2-10-2 with the black bevels.. looks soo much better imho
also fitted the new metal lgb wheels to the coaches, and the newly painted figures were siliconed into the coaches, liked the way the roofs snap into place.. also cut out a load more roof tiles, roughted them up, filed ect and started to glue them onto bobs roof..
packed up as it wasgetting colder.and damp

lest we forget, lazy grange bay rembers .

There is no doubt about it, coaches come alive once you have passengers aboard. Super pictures as always.
Kev

Mike,
How does it compare time-wise between marking and scoring a sheet for roof-tiles, compared to cutting and fixing individual tiles?
Just curious..
Phil.

ta guys.. to do a simple roof, just scoreing, and roughing it up, is relitivly easy and fast .a hour.. max.. to make that pile of tiles, all cut by hand, roughted up and filed edges took 2 hours ..sticking them onto a roof.. will take a day .and its messy ..i end up covered in super glue.. and the fumes mean u have to stop.. even with the door open ect .. the bioler house took a week todo ..fannysroof took two days ..bobs will take 3 days..

got a fair days work done in da shed..weather wasnt too bad, so trains were running while i worked oin the repairs/re roofs to the shops..

Very effective tiles. They should definitely stand up to the hailstones!:clap:

With a little bit more texturing they would also make very passable shingles as well.

Is this a naked passenger I see in your forth picture
