Onto the down main line at Pip's Junction....

And now, a special request for Brixham. The previous owner of the Mallet, Bob, liked to see it hauling log wagons.

I have a consist of 5 bogie wagons which can be augmented with a pair of short 2 axle flat wagons when required.

The logs are real wood, branches from a couple of 'Trees of Heaven' which give me an annual supply of suitable timber for the mill....

For this duty, Mallet runs cab first over the scissors crossing....

And back to the platform, ready for Mallet to run round....

Mallet prepares to shunt the log train to the depot having run round the train....

Train is pushed back towards the depot....

Steam engines are not allowed to enter the depot, so Mallet is uncoupled here.

(The track in the depot is Bachmann plastic, so if the loco were to enter by mistake, it won't go too far!)

It's day's duty now done....

Nice set of pics Gizzy, at some stage you may in view of your back problems referred to need to think about a high level line. I am so glad that I bit that bullet when I built this line though my previous line in Hemel was nearly all at waist height or higher.

Ah yes JD, but you are your own Gardening Authority!

I don't think Mizzy would take kindly to huge earthworks, walls or otherwise in her garden....

Sunday Freight train working arriving from the G Rail network, with a new wagon for testing, 3 car transporters and some box vans (vans especially for Mad Dan), with a Brake Parcels Van/Caboose at the rear.
