PIKO G 2012

So by my calculations 5 cars plus two end units would be around 17 foot long. That would just fit nicely in my storage sidings and passing loops - all I need now is £900! It has to be said that is a good price for 17 foot of passenger train. Not sure SWMBO would agree.

Even stranger than that Shefali Oza person on the BBC. Wonder if Piko could make a model of her to drive the TEE rather than "Mad Max"?
OOh - If Shefali was the driver I would get my credit card out immediately.

Is that "credit card" Quinton rhyming slang?
And after I carefully avoided such words as wadge (a dialectal form of wage) and deposit in order to avoid any smuttiness

I think personally that the Piko offering gives very good value for money.

I have noticed that certain models are only produced one year and then the next a new colour or variation comes out, which is nice if either you didn't like the previous livery option or you want to build a varied fleet, BUT it does mean you might find certain models harder to get hold of if you want several of one type, this seems most prevalent of the wagons.

I guess my only criticism is that the rolling stock come with plastic wheels, its about time metal wheels were standard in G Scale.

Obviously Piko are taking the "Hornby" approach by offering the same model in lots of liveries, but hopefully this will help them make a good return on each model and give the brand better longevity and sustainability.
