well a while back i bought this, for a great price, about the same as the small oberntall station-,about 75 US

but, really didnt know what to do with it -but as POLA prices were skyrocketing, and i thought it looked interesting and i might like another train station if i didnt like it as a house...i bought it
i still dont know what to do with it -it actualy is a station-has everything the US kits have, and more-freight docks etc, just the tiled roof is different
the sun room is rather a PITA to assemble, as one does not glue the panes -they float within the framing.....most of the time.....

tried moving the sunroom about-under the front gable etc-wasnt as flexible as i had hoped without major work-and didnt really hide the 'station' aspect any better either, imho-the sunroom is sorta removable-its stuck on, most stubbornly, with auto double sided tape, and its trapezoidal base is attached to the room, but not the platform base (so hard to make commitments you know!)

i repainted the entire thing, colors ala bahamas, bermuda or florida stucco
not sure if this is a tea room, or very nice railroad statoin, ala Pastalania

thought id share the work in progress-no signs yet-plan on finding a tiny tea cup -perhaps-to make into a sign
add some train schedules and light advertising
and a short tile roofed platform (came with the building-a pergola/ car port-)

did this really to compliment some of the FRR stuff-
a far cry from my favored, weathered 'down and out' usual attempts
criticism and ideas welcome-
stucco inserts might be reversed to the clapboard and painted soemthing proper if i decide this is simply too......odd

and another-
i made the little trees and pots -doll house stuff-and pipe cleaners with glue to make them tree like
added the cupola- quite certain this will be either a RR or a commercial building because it simply doesnt look like something actually built as a residence to me-perhaps some fencing would help-thought about enlargng the windows too, but again major brain damage as the ones i have, grandt, large and square, didnt quite center on any given wall-the spacing was wonky

Grams in the sunroom-even in her coat not too unbelievable for the tropics and older folks-so shall she be preserved in the glass casket forever -i rarely dedicate figures anywhere, as i liek to play and set things up, but the sunroom seems pretty appropriate and needs figures imho
the girl is the cheapy chinese, 1:25 figure-no molded details on face or hands
added the little stained glass lamp over table-its lighted -hangs from a brass tube which aligns it over the table and conceals the tiny wires-and which can be retracted and removed entirely
need to find some lights for the outside of the building as well
perhaps this will look better with a patina of 'jungle rot'-rust and peeling paint, cracked stucco?????

A truly beautiful place. I'll be ready to move in when I lose a coouple hundred pounds.

Sometime, watch the movie "Moon over Parador", a movie about an actor that has to fill in for a south American dictator.

A fellow railroad, history, and geo-political geography buff and I watched the movie (with several adult beverages consumed) and came up with all the reqirements of the Pardorian State Railways.

I am sure if we had got down to depots, they would have been close to this one.

Well, you could place it on a part of the railway with a lifted trackbed, this would create an impression of a converted depot ?
