well a while back i bought this, for a great price, about the same as the small oberntall station-,about 75 US
but, really didnt know what to do with it -but as POLA prices were skyrocketing, and i thought it looked interesting and i might like another train station if i didnt like it as a house...i bought it
i still dont know what to do with it -it actualy is a station-has everything the US kits have, and more-freight docks etc, just the tiled roof is different
the sun room is rather a PITA to assemble, as one does not glue the panes -they float within the framing.....most of the time.....
tried moving the sunroom about-under the front gable etc-wasnt as flexible as i had hoped without major work-and didnt really hide the 'station' aspect any better either, imho-the sunroom is sorta removable-its stuck on, most stubbornly, with auto double sided tape, and its trapezoidal base is attached to the room, but not the platform base (so hard to make commitments you know!)
i repainted the entire thing, colors ala bahamas, bermuda or florida stucco
not sure if this is a tea room, or very nice railroad statoin, ala Pastalania
thought id share the work in progress-no signs yet-plan on finding a tiny tea cup -perhaps-to make into a sign
add some train schedules and light advertising
and a short tile roofed platform (came with the building-a pergola/ car port-)
did this really to compliment some of the FRR stuff-
a far cry from my favored, weathered 'down and out' usual attempts
criticism and ideas welcome-
stucco inserts might be reversed to the clapboard and painted soemthing proper if i decide this is simply too......odd
