Despite all my intentions, apart from fitting one coach with a set of LGB pick-up wheels, the other three remain as before. In fact, apart from some work on the trailer and some weeding on the garden line, I have had no opportunity to run (or work on) trains this year very much at all.
Anyway, I got the opportunity to purchase a C16 loco in C & S livery (which I thought would compliment the coaches). I tested it first on the garden line and then in the trailer - being quite surprised how well it coped with all the R1 curves and switches. No pics from the trailer, but a couple from the garden ....
Nice loco Mick, goes well with the cars,Good to know that it`s ok on R1 curves and turnouts, may just have to look out for one, always thought that the Aristo C16 would`nt do sharp radius you learn something new every day
I was surprised the loco did so well on the tight curves. I had more problems with the Sierra coaches - the steps were catching some trees I planted (too near the line I think - although the JS coaches didn't foul anything!).
