SLOW AND NOT RESPONSIVE (MERGED)

My trusty RM Netbook machine running Windows 7 circa 2005, from new and still has all it's original parts, like it's owner! :)

Oh, and using Opera Web Browser..................

Probably one of the few remaining Old Skool Luddites as far as New Technology goes, rather have a decent cup of tea! :)
 
Yes, it seems that Opera is the only browser that can handle any of the newer site code on Windows 7 and earlier. I believe that FireFox and Chrome have abandoned Win 7.

I still have an XP laptop that runs just fine, used for older software that has timing-dependent RS-232 communications... it has a real serial port and a real printer port.

I have found that everything else I have can be made to run on Windows 11, and most hardware runs Win 10/11 faster than Win7.

I really did not want to convert all to Win 10/11 but too many softwares have abandoned Win7, and also security updates are a concern. Still running Microsoft Office 2007 though!
