WOW Steve!

Beautiful work, I hadn't come across the original post :admire:
I only take this sort of trouble with my wife's dolls house fittings.... where they are safe from the elements (apart from dust).

Congrats
Rob

p.s. Perhaps you can advise me on how to adjust my (cheap brand) bandsaw - I simply cannot cut a straight enough line to use on detailed work - always veers to one side or the other

Rob

The band they come with is about 6 mm exchange it for at 10mm blade then all your cuts will be straight:thumbup:

Thanks for that tip Steve - that sounds about right (6mm) will sort out a 10mm a.s.a.p.

And those additional pics posted..... really good work...... you've set a high standard... I will have to make more effort now!

Best wishes
Rob

Rob tension on the blade is also very important for keeping the blade straight if it's too tight it's worse than too loose!! and adjust the bearing under the table to just have a clearance when not cutting but the cut will push the blade onto the bearing....................and DON"T you push, let the band cut and you feed!!

OOO how rude of me, Nice station Steve.............................That D Bag looks smashing...................

Envious - it looks really great (I was looking forward to seeing the finished station ever since I first spotted your thread) - I'm not disappointed! Platforms look very effective too. Well done Steve.

Thanks Miniman, I will try harder!

Steve - thought you might be interested in my old 0-16.5 L&B station.... the roof tiles were 'made' by threading cotton through tiny holes in the plasticard roof, the walls were also plasticard plastered with Polyfilla and sculpted before painting with acrylic art paints - had to take it in at night though:rolleyes:

Funnily enough I did get two - from Axminster Tools (axminster.co.uk)

Cheers
Rob

Just spent a lovely hour with my bandsaw
Thanks again Steve, the larger blade has made all the difference - a brilliant tip!!! and I was going to rename it my 'fret' saw

Regards
Rob

You have stopped fretting now then
