Station build from scratch

Wow, that is looking fantastic! Particularly like the idea of a working clock - I'll borrow that idea one day!

Ian, just saw your finished model too - which is also superb. Congratulations to both of you!

I get the impression that the tiles are strips of wood with scoring to represent the individual tiles, is that right?
Also how weatherproof are the finished models? Do you just give them a good coat of varnish?

Huge respect for the individual tiles - that is dedication, but well worth it!
I missed the photo which shows this clearly, but I've spotted it now...

I use thin marine ply, cut with a stanley knife, painted with Hunbrol enamels and then a spray on of matt varnish

Each tile is individual , IanS , his will last years done professionally mine well put it this way its not seen daylight as yet :laugh:

Ian those stations are brilliant they really look the part. And yours is looking good too so far Steve, I really like the canopy and the working clock!

The trim detailing and the corners really make the building stand out, great job!!
