Taita Gorge Railway

Excellent work - a pain in the backside - but we appreciate the results.

:) Three more passengers arrived in the mail today...... looking for a seat on my Cable Car.

They found seats... Ma and Pa safely inside, Joe's getting a bit of fresh air'.

Of course, I had to test things. Spring evening, things working fine, roll on the summer nights.

Figured out that if I park in a certain spot when visiting SWMBO at hospital, I have to drive home past the electronics store.

So, this mornings purchase was a set of batteries (2x7.2V)...... now I've got plenty grunt for the FA1. Test run was good.
Now, tomorrow, I'll fit my Basic Train Engineer in the reefer, and finally join the battery brigade. Well I have to, playing away next week where it's live steam, or battery power.

BTE fitted, tested, and put into service. Moderately happy with the result. I started getting a few shut downs when trying to haul track power size loads. Still stuck with the signal range that has dogged the BTE for yonks, but, I can power up, and down, and reverse direction.
