I had similar green tiles to them in my Kitchen at Hemel, loved them. Oh the locs are nice as well.

To run a proper train behind that A-B-A set, you will need to exercise compulsory purchase on next door's backyard, and maybe the one beyond that. Their compensation will be to sit inside and watch the trains

Erm, I dont know, steep. Only certain locomotives will haul trains up it. It drops approximately 1ft along 10/11ft of track.

that would make it 1 in 10, which is 10%. I only go to 1 in 25 (4%) ( on my railway) and that is pushing it (literally)
