Thermalite Viaduct Build

Great work Steve. The equivalent here is call Hebel blocks. Sadly can't think of a project yet on the H&MGR to use it on, and it looks such a fun product to carve.

What type of sealant are you going to use Steve?

Bram i am painting it with this as it was all i could find , please dont tell me its the wrong thing it does appear to be doing the job.

Also the colour change of the block looks good to the eye.

Further to finding my pond has a major leak i have had to invest in a preformed pond so this evening i drew around it with chalk on the patio to give SWMBO a view of how it should all look when the pond and the viaduct are in place .

The viaduct will be sat on 18" square slabs covered with roofing felt , where as the front section of the pond will be surrounded by block paving as i have done before.

A few pics to give you the idea , any hints , suggestions well appreciated.

Aha, there was me thinking that the new viaduct (which looks brill BTW) was going to replace the one behind the old pond. Do I take it that this means that the railway will now have to go down BOTH sides of the garden in a girt big loop?????????

At the risk of eating hospital food and a stock check on the crown jewls in a word NO.
