Due to the splendid weather out i managed to get one more block cut in the garage , also i raised the hight of the wall by one row.

Two'll do! Actually, they could end up like a box of loose sugar if recent parcels are owt to go by! Its only 100 mile to the factory - I keep saying when I visit my sons I should call in and ask for a sample!.

Definitely with the biceps he's developing cutting the blocks. I've used them too, and I think Steve will agree although easier to cut than solid concrete you still end up cream crackered - and the saw goes in the bin as it will be toothless.

do as I did & use a jigsaw, had to do 2 cuts, one from each side but with accurate marking out, good results, although the blocks I used were only 4" ones

I think my accuracy isn't up to it and also my jigsaw would throw in the towel before I started
I'm not entirely useless, but not far off

Got no pics Steve, but if you imagine a boats deck, with scuppers down each side & holes in the boat side at deck level, for the water to run out of sideways, I would imagine holes about 10mm, square would look good, be big enough to drain & clear any blockages from leaves

Is, sorry, was your jigsaw a sophisticated oscillatory type?

The one I used was a B&Q 9.99 cheapy with a worn out wood cutting blade, without the pedalum thingy that the dearer models use
