Beautiful car, can anybody do a blow by blow account of making this??

Been 4 days since some pics posted on here so I thought that I should attend to that. Beamish 14-10-2015 on a good day when there were at least 3 cars out working.

Probably won't get to Wisconsin, may have to take the Memsahib to Beamish - never bin there :eek:

The trams were a bit different in Melbourne 25 years ago...............

The W class cars were all crew operated (driver + conductor). There were qute a few modern one-man cars around as well though.
Does the "heritage" city circular service (30?) still operate with the older cars. By the time I got there again in 2003 & 2004, that was the only service operating the old ones.

You will not regret it, just make sure that you allow as much time as you possibly can in the site. An awful lot to see with 3SG Railways and a 2ft Line in addition to all the Trams and the Pub in the High Street. Wonderful day out. Oh nearly forgot a Miniature line that is possibly 5" or 7.25" not sure which but this only tends to run at Special Events I think.

Well we all like a little project but how about this a Battery Tram that looked like a Steam Tram? Owned by Birmingham Central Tramways was probably though to be the future after Steam Trams, but sadly never got much further than being a Depot Shunter and moving Cable Cars from the Inner Line or the Outer Cable Tram Lines at Hockley Brook.image.jpg

That was contemporary with gas, compressed air, and clockwork tram engines. Fascinating stuff!
