Trams made in Wuppertal / G scale

On Sunday I felt like I was in tram modelling heaven. All I wanted to do was pick up my 3D printed Düwag seats. But then Benjamin Dohler showed me the projects he is currently building. Some of them are 3D printed. In 1:22.5 or H0, I bought a ticket machine and some traffic light heads. Then I was allowed to take something out of his scrap box. I took a few samples.
Here is what I got:

Peter, it doesn't show what you got. All we see is the familiar Schwebebahn that is your signature.

I don't know anything about trams but, If you got everything in the photos it seem christmas has come early for you

I continue to work on my planned models. I'm working on the 6-axle Hagen tram and my 8-axle Wuppertal tram. I'm currently trying out different LED options for my 8-axle tram to recreate the neon lighting. At the moment I am still waiting for the COB LED strips. They should arrive today or tomorrow. At the moment I'm trying out my paint schemes. After decades of trying, I have finally found a mixture of paint and distilled water that makes painting fun.

The priming of the six-axle vehicle. In the meantime, it has also been given its first green roof paint job.

In between, I help my friend Wilfried to realise his work tram. He would like to paint it grey. But before that, the holes have to be sealed and new windows installed. Then there's the problem of the front lighting. Let's see how we realise that.

have finally found the breakthrough in painting my models. Now it's actually really fun.
The 6-axle model from Hagen has had its colour shower. I'm going to give it another coat of clear varnish to protect the paintwork. Also with airbrush
The scale is 1:22.574-05.11.2024.jpg

But what exactly is the breakthrough? How did you do it?
He said ‘Also with airbrush’ thus I think translation means ‘shower’ is a ‘spray’, which is quite logical to me and a step up from brush painting. Bit tricky in here at times with differing languages converted to English.

Sorry for the confusion. In Germany, we say 'colour shower' when we have painted something.
I always had trouble with acrylic and other paints. Revell and Humbrol resin paints worked well. It stinks and takes a long time to dry. Not all RAL colours are available from these two manufacturers. Acrylic paint is available from Bauhaus. I tried putting it through an airbrush gun, but it didn't work well. I read that you can dilute these colours with glass cleaner or alcohol. I tried that, but it didn't work. Distilled water and a dilution of 10 parts acrylic paint and 4 parts distilled water now works well.
I use a 0.5 needle.

This weekend we held our final meeting with a cosy get-together and rides on the HSM Hannover Wehmingen tram layout.
One of the participants had brought a dashcam and mounted it on a tramcar. We used it to drive on the layout from the driver's perspective. Unfortunately there weren't that many drivers with us today. Maybe you will like the video anyway. (G-scale 1:22,5)
