I also have a pair of SD45s in warbonnet, and yes, I KNOW they are never-wozzers, but they DO look good. My GP9, bought in 1999, was the hero of a model train story, but I won't bore folks here with it.

My approximation of the aircon units are ready for the grilles which will be done with transfers.

So after all the great information you have all given to me about the gp38 I bought something else instead
I bought a LGB mogul it has a factory installed decoder and some nice extra detail bits. I bought this and had some money left over to put aside to replace the decoder in my franks.
