Today I'm working on resizing a. Girder design on thingyverse, resizing it, cutting it down (windows 10, 3d design app) as it came with railing.. I'm resized it in my splicing software, by adjusting the dimensions, seems to work OK... Test peace is a good one, so I need 14 more of them.. Collection of the things i have printed, mainly sourced from thingiverse apart from the track crossing which i designed.

Nice collection of interesting things. Just looking at the wooden benches. If the design was revised somewhat to allow the actual printing to go with the grain that ought to work a little better, using the limitations in a positive way. This could also apply with Wagon sides made to represent wood.

Interesting observation, wonder what the finished article would look like if this filament were used?

One of the meny things I realised is that we won't go hungry.. From a war gaming bord game, via thingy verse. Resisted,.. A few minutes..

Nothing exciting, more a half baked idea for DCC Automation, that, may well actually turn out to be really useful, small steps and all that.

Wify mentioned a baby.. So IMG_20200802_141845.jpg We met 1/2way..i printed her a pram..

Isn't that what a pram is? or did I miss some nuance?
Indeed it is but nobody calls them a perambulator now, but that design comes from the era when they used to be called perambulators not the slang pram that is now used. Decline of the language, who am I to talk about that the guy that failed his RSA Group Certificate in English!

Chicken anyone..

Under resources, I've compiled a list of Windows from various sources across the Internet.

Have a list of Doors to do the same with........

Some of these I've already printed, disregard my printer settings! adjust for your own printer.

I've lost track of who or what, where the original Window came from, if you do print one out, and whist trawling the Internet you come across a similar or the exact Window, tip the originator and upload or mark you've made one, thanks.

For the moment they are all downloadable from my Google Drive, was going to ask Paul for permission for a direct upload, given the grief he has had today, decided to put that request on a temporary hold............

I bought a few of the buildings Paul was selling from the CFR. They'd been out for a while and a few bits had got detached but they're basically sound and a cheap way to add some miniature "realism" quickly and ecconomically - important as the boss went with me to pick them up so knows exactly how much I spent, to be fair, she suggested I picked up a couple more when we got there.

So I've been doing windows too, also replacement doors. Happy to share them if they're of use to anyone with Piko/Pola(?) buildings in need of tlc.

The little grey fella is a lantern, some of the buildings had lights, one has exterior lights. I'll swap the bulbs for leds but I wanted to tart them up from just being a bare bulb.

Many thanks Dave for the email and the files, much appreciated, will have to dig out the assortment of buildings, hopefully will be able to breath a new lease of life into some of them.

No problem, I forgot to mention that the doors have a hole sized for an offcut of earth conductor to make the handle. Bend a right angle cut it and superglue in place.

Seem the wife likes the printer too now she has seen what it can do..
Safety 1st..found on fingerverse
A door opener and touch screen pointer...
So I made her 1..
