What have you been printing.

Resplendent in new paint, Rocket ventured out for some photos. Not quite finished and tidied yet, but getting there! This will have a motor axle in the tender to shove it along. All 3d printed except for the trailer and tender wheels, which are Slaters to ensure better running.20210607_153125.jpg

I got the coach finished today. This really is a great little print, improved a little with Slaters wheels and also a change in wheelbase (If you look at the unpainted picture, you will notice I've moved the wheels in a bit and re-printed) as it was just riding the rails a little on the steeper curves.

Just waiting for the motor and gearbox to turn up and then the challenge of motorising it to overcome!!

Nice!
Will you be making the designs available, as I would quite like to print something similar for my railway.

In terms of the roof, maybe plasticard with some additional riveted joining plate detail?
here are a few pictures of how it looks when assembled.

A little while ago I bought a 3D printed body from one of our forum correspondents. I've only just rediscovered it lurking at the back of a draw, and as I'm self isolating it's time to start painting. I know IPA is the best thing to use to clean up the mouldings, but does any know of another easily obtained alternative?

IPA can be purchased through Amazon in Litre bottles and pharmacies can obtain it.

I assume you are talking about the Hunslet body you got from me? IPA is indeed the best cleaner, but follow it up with some hot soapy water.

Cheers, I'll order some in as it appears I'm not going anywhere for the next week or so!

Anyone printed in ABS and used a vapor bath afterwards? I bought a spool of ABS to experiment with and have been printing out some arch bar trucks, but I am a little hesitant to try the hotplate/glass jar setup.
