Woodlock Logging

It's amazing what you have achieved in the small space you have available. Thanks for sharing.

It's what's known (in engineering terms) as a 'clearance fit'!:)

Some serious motive power you have there. The Kamel is huge. I knew it was rather large, but seeing next to the #50 switcher, it's bigger than I had thought. I've never seen one up close and personal.

You may or may not be aware Dan - it's a re-bogied standard gauge (German loading gauge) loco. The bonnets are above the coaches, let alone the cab.DSC05611 (Medium) (2).JPG

I had read that here some time ago. It still seems huge, even for standard gauge.

Another cold but nice day, so I have had a couple of trains out till my hands went numb in the cold.....
Nice picture of the real thing Stockers.

Just love them Kamels, wish they ran better. Dirty Wheels a real issue. But I have done this rant before. They do look great though.

My Kamel fleet, Left to Right daddy mumy and baby (Piko Kamel, Marklin V100 and Playmobil).

I see that your Church still has its Brass Top, lost mine in a Storm sometime before I moved from Hemel Hempstead just over 3 Years ago now. Neved did find it even after serious serches. Must sort it out some time.

I like the baby! Can't say I have known any issues with pick up issues, but apparently piko are well known for installing the motors wrong which means the cogs or gears wear down. Sorted by PS and now runs great.

Scratch built, but they do not work - just for Show. Middle one has them too, but not so well executed. Have thoughts to put some on Baby as well.I thought that the thread on converting my Big One showed the work, but it looks like I never documented it. However I have for the 100, but that is a bit simplified though the concept of the work was similar.

Looks really good, i thought it may be a 'detail' kit or the likes. My scratch building is, shall we say, rubbish.

Having two (new to us) young cats.. Plenty of 'scratch building' going on here!
:eek::(;);)

Duncan, practice makes perfect. A few small jobs like I started out with will get you going. Try a Plastic Hut or something. You could even try Coffee Stirers for such a project. The satisfaction gained by making something yourself is immeasurable.

This is the most I have ever used my railway so early in the year. Though I had a big derailment when my wagons ran away down woody bank at high speed and came to grief on the tunnel corner........ So it is now policy that 'trains' always have the locomotive propelling wagons up the hill to the sidings to avoid derailments and run aways. Do LGB still do the yellow chocks?
