A British Locomotive?

The new livery looks very smart!

An update on the stock repaints, the workshops are now winding down for the summer season.
The two box cars taken in for repaint into Bauxite have been completed and are now available for service

However I am really pleased with the British Railways Blood and Custard livery now applied to the Ex Isle of Man `Pairs` coaches.
I am sure not many, if anyone, has repainted any of these, but they do look superb to me....and being fictional have totally random stock numbers applied.

Those coaches look great. Nice work.

Those Ex Isle Of Man cars are really heavy, and the lone steamie was having a struggle up the bank, so yesterday`s runs had a double headed Diesel in stead and they coped very well.

Also running was a short trip working with some grubby box vans, again normally in the hands of one of the small steamers.

Now most of the Branch Line trains are in Blood and Custard, the infrastructure is now in line to conform.
The Wayside Halt had suffered from a year or two out in the elements, and needed attention anyway, so it has now been totally repainted.
This was taken during June 2013 and was in the original Pakefield Joint colours

This was taken this afternoon, the steps need some re-alignment as yet, but suits the new order on the Branch well.

This is the final one from the paintshops this Spring as it is closed until the Winter now.

A while back I painted up two of the Emily coaches into Blood and Custard and was very pleased with the result.  A further second hand pair were obtained a few weeks ago from Glendale Junction and have now been through the Shops and emerged to join the original pair making a four car rake which really suits the little Tram Engines.

I have just posted a very short clip of the BR Black Beyer Garrett. You will either love my take on the fictional history or hate it!!!!!

Officially jealous and covetous! Looks really great hauling the trucks. ;)

Just when I had decided the remaining stock remaining in the old `Pakefield Joint Railway` colours would remain until next year, works to remove a point and re-grade a section of the branch line was seriously hampered by torrential cloudbursts.  As one of the Works Trains assisting was still in the livery, it was transferred to the quickly re-opened Paint Shops....well you cant waste the afternoon!  So PJR 47 is now Blood and Custard E739

Hi all,
It has been a while since I have posted, due to a small toddler in my life and a having a bout of Ill health for a long period. I have enjoyed this thread as it is what I was trying to do with my railway before life got in the way.

Well I have just done my first repaint of the year as I get back into the swing of things.

The wagon was done last year as a control and battery car, and the 0-6-0 is the new addition to the Dave Hub livery. As most of you know I usually like rail blue but with some encouragement I thought I`d try green.
I might do another green in the future. WP_20150525_013 (Medium).jpgWP_20150525_012 (Medium).jpgWP_20150525_011 (Medium).jpg

Very nice paint work Dave loco does look great in BR green ;D

Great job. Amazing how a bit of paint can change the whole appearance. That van looks totally different to the Swiss originals.

Looks nice in the new colours (the previous colours suited it too).

A short flurry of work in the Paint Shops as a Steeple Cab loco was purchased from Kev (lgbmad) from the GSC Sales section a week or so ago. It had the bonnet handrails removed and has been out-shopped in Blood and Custard to work with one of the Tram trailers on the Branch Line passenger services.
Not quite Wisbech and Upwell!

As the Paint Shops were open, one of the small Diesel shunters was dealt with too.

The little Diesel has been operating in Chocolate and Cream for a few years retaining the number 1677, but is now renumbered D735 for it`s new role
