Blagdon & Butcombe Light Railway (b&blr)

So! You virtually have an extension. Clever work. Really like that last shot in particular.

Looks fine to me, your method of using Photoshop to prototype the extension has worked very well. BUT, from your Vids do you not crave for all that space in the Garden that appears denied of you? You know that great green yonder!

Thanks ever so much. Oh yes indeed, but I don't think the Grandparents would be happy if I dug it all up :D Though you never know, might be able at add another extension on at some point ;)

You need to sell it on the way that you will enhance and take over some of the Maintenance! Maybee not so old just now do not know, but time takes its toll on the ability to look after and keep a Garden looking good. A well planned and planted Garden Railway can be part of a Low Maint Garden.

My old Garden in Luton was a case in point. Sfter we moved intto the 150ft Long Garden equiped House. X wifey took over the Left Hand side of the Garden, I built my Garden Railway on the Right Side. Extensive works created a decent Rockery with many nice plants that were easily managed in fact mostly Maint free. Fast forward a couple of Years my side of the Garden is a Picture admired by all, hers was a weed infested Jungle!

I'll pass the word on ;) You never know!

The new Stations coming along nicely. Needs a few more finer details like a more detailed door, window frames and a bit more paint here and there, but it's getting there.
Also decided to have a bit of fun with one the latest additions to the fleet, the new LGB 25910 Narrow Gauge Diesel. She certainly fits in very well on the line

With the good (but a bit too hot) weather of late, work has started on digging the new extension. Plus more some final details have been added to the station, including a proper door, window frames, posters and of course an appropriate name ;) Let me know what you think. DSC04365 (1024x768).jpg

July update on the G Scale Garden Railway, with many milestones meet and exciting new developments.
After a year of planning and weeks of hard work the Pond Side Siding is finally up and running and complete. The Pond Side Walls, Track and Ballast are all place, ready for storing rolling stock during future running sessions.
The new B&BLR station is almost complete, with the Walls, Roof, Windows, Door and Fencing all complete. Plus it's officially gained it's very appropriate name.
Finally we take a look at some detailed and interesting plans of the new extension, as well as the first bits of progress towards the installing the new route.
Hope you enjoyed!

Through the wet weather of late, the work on the new extension continues. The Track is being marked out, plus the embankment and cutting is starting to be constructed. Bit muddy, but well worth it. Must say it's certainly going to be great having a nice long straight run along the front. ;)DSC04351 (1024x768).jpg DSC04352 (1024x768).jpg DSC04354 (1024x768).jpg DSC04356 (1024x768).jpg DSC04357 (1024x768).jpg DSC04359 (1024x768).jpg DSC04361 (1024x768).jpg DSC04362 (1024x768).jpg
