Blagdon & Butcombe Light Railway (b&blr)

2nd October 2016, saw the Blagdon & Butcombe Light Railway operating there Orange Timetable, with 2 Steam locomotives in service. The day marked the first public service of recently restored Baldwin 2-4-2T, No. 763, sister to No. E 762 'Lyn', which saw service on the famous Lynton & Barnstaple Railway.
With work progressing on the new extension, the day also saw a number of work trains hauled by Diesel Shunter, No. V20 008.

With Winter coming in fast, it's nearly time to get the Garden Railway ready for it's Winter Hibernation, but before that, some progress and changes have been made.
This includes ballasting the new extension, the reconfiguration of the isolating sections, plus some improvements to the embankments, as well as a spot of weeding...
Though this maybe the last update for the railway this year, there's still plenty of G Scale content to come, including Reviews, a Rolling Stock Update, plus an exciting new addition too...
Hope you enjoy!

Been a bit of a while since I've posted on here, and there been a fair bit of change since.
With the nice weather of late, I've been getting steam up again. This time with recent arrival to the B&BLR Fleet, Accucraft Caradoc 0-4-0T, 'Eamont' No.1. Here's a few pictures from a recent running session. It looks to be a nice loco - and with a 'purposeful' air about it. One day (I say to myself) I will acquire a steam loco!:envy:
