Love that last picture, though the Signalman looks like he has had an accident. Nice pictures at platform level too!

Well I entered the goods shed in the national competition at g rail .in its senic items section. .. and won that...it was automatically then entered into model of the year.. against stiff competition. ..

Congratulations on your win, Mike. Well deserved, I'd say - your goods shed is a miniature masterpiece!
Great pictures btw.

Started on the rebuild .. the second half..after last year's start ..it's time to start again..I'm going to replace the rotten ply surface .. the frame work is tanalised timber so should be ok..I'm starting in the village ...as after the ply is replaced I can stand on it to work on the station area ...20160512_085812.jpg 20160512_085815.jpg 20160512_085818.jpg 20160512_093056_003.jpg 20160512_172734.jpg 20160512_172714.jpg

Yep! that was a bit rotten. Best of luck with the rebuild Mike.

Ta guys .. we have mad a bit of progress 20160513_152942.jpg 20160513_152924.jpg

Are you going to skin that with thin ply Mike? I'd be a little concerned that hose boards could curl and warp.

You are making good progress.

That was quick work Mike. I noticed you used a large sheet of roofing felt for the old village. Can I suggest that perhaps this trapped moisture and accelerated the rot of the original ply?

I think I'm going to keep clear of ply in future . Not sure on the roofing felt. I get what your saying allan but the ply rotted equally fast were there was no roofing felt..ie the station area....
Striped out the station area last few days.. 20160517_172542.jpg
