Nothing to it - you simply fill the lock through the sluice gates by raising the paddles ..............................

Just catching up with progress, Mike. Really great to see the locks in place. As always, your attention to detail is brilliant. Really like the claustrophobic feel of the lock basin.

Well a change of plan today...
After 15 years ive had my 1st lgb R3 point failure... wonder if its under warranty..
Point leading to the shed. The swinging point blade has no power...loco stoping on point..
I have fitted all myy points with out fishplates ..i use railclamps..so removing them is easyer...after lifting the point and on closer inspection i found that the spot welded bar under neith had rotted through...isolating the arm...its either a new point ..or a repair..
I had 2 single clamps..and a few tags ...after soildering a short bit of wire..i fitted the clamps and point now works...

Pleased you didn't opt for a new point.

Nothing more satisfying than "making do and mending".

I just wish I had your....what ever it is, you should bottle and sell it.

Poor show it failed after only 15 years out in all weathers, still a bit of soldering saves the day again.
( what’s happened to the pics all I am seeing is a row of numbers in boxes?)

I am guessing that with the upgrade tomorrow, it is not worth fighting to keep everything in sync. between the Forum software, and the CDN (where the pictures are stored)..
I am pretty sure once the dust has settled tomorrow, all will magically come-good. - I do not see pictures either.. But in a message I posted in another thread, I 'see' my picture if I go to edit, but it just appears as a 'place-holder' and reference in the posted message.

Today i started on the moorings behind the top lock...20180624_133302.jpg20180624_133323.jpg20180625_083039.jpg20180625_112306.jpg20180625_112308.jpg20180625_112302.jpg20180625_112451.jpg

Mike, what make are the laying down cattle? All my cattle(Schleich and Bully) are either standing still, walking or feeding.
