Lazy Grange Bay 3...a new start

Mike - on one of your pictures of the lovely new electric, did I really see a nameplate marked "Lion of Vienna"? If yes, I'm intrigued about the loco's background, since that term is usually applied in England to the late Nat Lofthouse, footballer extraordinaire and one of Bolton's greatest sons. For those unfortunate enough not be born in God's county, Bolton is a quiet fishing village on the River Croal in Lancashire, England.

you did peter... recycleing some name plates:bigsmile:
and its true, well know fishing village

Hi Mike

Looks grate nice find fits in well with your railway me thinks.
With no light though no night time running or it could be used for stealth running in the dark.

today was fix a loco day... sorted chasses crock, it was a anolg early 3 pin blocks loco, but 1 block wouldnt run, just kept locking up.so i converted the working block to 4 pins, and then the rear, troublesome block, still wouldnt run sweetly, the loco was bought from germany, as a shelf queen, but the skates were missing.. so i knew someone had at some point had a play.. after much faffing about, i traced the fault to aduff gear wheel.set... swaped the gears over from a old setoff gear wheels.. runs sweetly now..
xls chip fitted,.
