How have you made your fencing mike? Is it circular wood dowl for the uprights? and what have you used for the metal?

hi matt, its Q+Bs 65p round dowle, a meter long, ..ive drilled 2 holes in to each post, with a small drill bit in my dremile.. the wire is 1 mm brass wire i picked up last year at the 16mm show, £3.99 for 7mts.. threaded through, and stainded the wooden dowlses
the posts are pushed into pre drilled holes ,spaced 5 fat fingers apart!

Thanks for that, i think we have some gardening wire lying around somewhere so may just have a go tommorow, i tried something similar last year but as it wasent fixed down too well the heavy snow just destroyed it :thumbdown:

Orstin 7/ Carpet Hoover on viaduct shot is an absolute cracker Mike, love it!

last few days have been hectic, , been out and about, running errands.. suns been out, and ive made a bit more progress .

H'mm had to look twice or three:rolf: Was that a Sunstar Routemaster or a Revel kit? Like the effect - fooled me until I scrolled down the page. Very effective:thumbup:

its a sunstar routemaster, ive slightly modified it..(read, used a large hacksaw)by cutting it in 1/2....

Outstanding modelling and photography Mike. :love:

Did you have all of the details worked out from the start, or have they gradually emerged?

thanks peter.. i have a image in my head.. i know it has to flow..i also want it to feel right, and in keeping with a time period in history..im aiming for a 50s/60s rural village, set in england.. were a preserved narroe gauge railway operates trains in service to the comunity.....
then after that, i make itup as i go

overall, i already know why, and were, ..the church always was going on the hill, the bridge always was going in there, likewise, the road, leading into the village , with the war memeorila, market, and bus stop.. the road gose under the railway, and it will also go out off the village, under the (not built yet) bridge.. the other end off the railway,will be a large hill. were the railway disapears into(hiden turning cuiricle) ewith a large all girls school for young ladys,on top... a small station will aapear at this end, along with the pub,(stranglers arms) being build by old one sugar) .....behind the village(were the passing loops are) iswhere the larger station wiill be, with a coal yard with 2/3 sideings..as you can guess.. stuff just happens:thumbup::bigsmile:

Brill explanation. :bigsmile::bigsmile:

Pictures in your head, voices in your head, imagination - the holy trinity of garden railways. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

me too paul:thumbup:..the routmasster/.., a evilbay bargin, a few years ago, there was a glut off "Damaged" sunstar routmasters.. i think they were the rejects from the production/over run.. they all had ,had a chat with MR Lumphamer..mine was smashed in at the back..sold for spares.. i paid a £10 for it.. with the intenion off useing in low relief

Gobsmacked Mike. Fascinating explanation. I tip my hat to you for your vision. :thumbup:

Brilliant lateral thinking Mike - for a minute I had palpations thinking you had carved up an extremely costly model:rolf::rolf::rolf:
