mike said:
started on the retaining walls today..i dont have enough off the concreat ones to do what i want to do..so thanks to sandys kindness in giveing me the plastic sheets..ive been scribeing them, to look like a wall
today i removed the concreat ones, and 1st up, fixed the alloy sheets ,to give the plastic sheets some strenght

plasic sheets are in 2 parts,the plane walling, and the front, with a arch cut into it.. in effect, a sanwitch :q12:

not finished ,more to do, painting ect.. the tunnles next..may be

Nice work Mikey....

Looking good mate. :thumbup::thumbup:

One slight thing that I've found from the plastic that I've used on my new platform - it don't half expand a lot in the sunshine (even the fairly cool stuff that we're having at the mo ). I'd try and allow for a fair amount of expansion if I was doing it again. ;)

cheers guys.. message recived and understood:thumbup:

Looking good mike:thumbup::thumbup:

Got some brown massonary paint if you want it:callme::callme:

great ,can you drop it off for tommorow morning:thumbup::rolf::rolf::rolf:

Also a thought, that as your buildings are grey and would be made from local stone, then in theory the retaining wall would be made from the same local stone and should also be grey in colour....But it could be a rule 8 item:bigsmile::bigsmile:

no, you are off course ,right, just had that conversation with my cheif modeling gure
aka old one sugar.. if your buildings are off one colour, and they are built useing local stone, it follows thats the retaining walls ect ,would be built ,also ,useing local stone..
and there for the same coluring:thumbup:

stiff ,and sore from yesterday, i took today off, and decided to paint yesterdays progreess....untilll i ran out off rattle cans ,gray prima,and mat black..so oft to the local shop that sells them in the next town,..except they are busy boxing all the stock up .empty shelves..and a to let sign out side.. so oft to poundstrechers across rochadle.. shut.,. emptying stock.. so oft to ...this is a nasty recession..
finally got some in a little shop,£ a item..
so i get 10 cans at a £1 each..i give they guy a tenner..he rings it up on his till..8..
