Has anyone actually seen one in the shops yet? some places seem to show availability, others showing in-stock dates all the way to end of October!

None yet available in shops, the analog model is rumoured to be delivered in a month or so. The official LGB delivery schedule says September. The digital limited version is probably not released until the end of this year, the LGB delivery schedule lists Q4 2013.

Just picked up the latest (October) edition of Railway Modeller. GRS are advertising the Allegra. £1541.74 with sound, £1284.80 without. Doesn't actually say it's in stock, but it would seem to indicate it's not far off?

Also, 20% off Train Line coaches (all models in stock).

Take my money!!!

Silly question, I assume the pantograph was not raised when the engine was "live" correct?

I have been lacking a proper baggage car for my Rhb consist, not for long!

The baggage car conversions are actually auxiliary power supplies for all the air con etc while on the move. They had overworked the wiring in the Ge4/4II's on a few occasions so this is ready for the new stock coming fully online. If you look at Ge4/4II's that have recently had an overhaul you'll note two new higher rated electrical connectors either side of the Graubunden shield on each end. They have done the baggage cars as a interim measure and I guess they'll keep them for when there are problems too.
