Sorry Chris, you've lost me there. The members' photos can be found on the post office wall
That's great to hear. I may try and get across from Jersey next year'Twas a good do, and the Event Manager told me it'll be on again next year and the year after. Best part, for me, was being only 1.5 hours away whereas Peterborough may as well be on another planet!
Possibly too North American a reference? Post offices (used to) have malefactors' mugshots on the wall so the public could ID them.Sorry Chris, you've lost me there.
It was ages before I knew what “going postal” referred to. US work colleagues used the expression quite a bit and I guess they may have been a bit baffled by the lack of reaction from us English folk.Possibly too North American a reference? Not that anyone here is wanted ...

How did we miss each other?
You got me, SW, and the bloke who sung the British entry at Eurovision, in that last shot!

I know, tac, but it's a far walk for me ...However, I have to remember Henry V's great speech, quoted by Bill Shakespeare, about those who were NOT there. Never fear, absentees, your lack of presence at the first Llangollen show, where so many made a genuine effort to attend, was noted. You were missed, but.................

Good call tac, I read the original and was a bit put out TBH, but all's good nowPlease read my revised post - my comment was not aimed at absent friends, but at a few of the major players in the trade who were not there, and, I must admit, for reasons I just do not understand. 'nuff said.
I was there, at 58, I go to these shows as it's the only place I feel youngPerhaps it’s just the way the photos were taken but there didn’t appear to be many youngsters there?
Sadly Bill Shakespeare (not the bard) is non to well these days, Well the bill I know and former chairman of the Llangollen Railway from the Flint and Deeside through to the 90's He steered the railway, we're hoping to make sure he sees the dream complete and he gets to Corwen by trainquoted by Bill Shakespeare, about those who were NOT there.
