Can anyone recommend a motor I can use for the blower. I have tried a 600 and 550 from the model shop but they are only 3 pole and are reluctant to start, Also they are only rated at 7.5 volt.

Ok I could buy a drill motor at about £40.00 but I am looking for something cheaper.

Have you got one spare??????????????? Idealy 5 or 7 pole 12 / 24 volt

 A motor from an old battery drill??? Usually about 14v I believe.

Hi Phil
I have 1/2 a dozen re-chargeable drills, all with dud batteries, cheaper to buy new drill than a new battery.

You are welcome to one for the P&P, but you will have to excuse my lack off knowledge
can get the voltage of the batteries, but how can i tell if they are 5 or 7 pole??

Happy to strip a few down if thats the only way

:impatient: :timeout: :timeout: Now i think thats a stretching the facts a bit,
especially after me spending 25Mins hanging over the side of our scrap bin
this morning (5.30am), it was BL@@Dy cold as well. :crying:

Think a good modeler would anticipate his needs and
collect all the bits in advance

Managed to find a few cast off's though

Hope the one below is OK, 18volts, but still don't know how to tell how many
poles it has,
It was a very powerful drill at the time, would knock 50 10mm dia holes 50mm
deep in to Brickwork in an hour & half, batteries lasted 18months before they
stopped holding a charge.

Any ways up,
After all the cheek, not sure how much time it will take to dismantle
then there's a box to be found
and sellotape
and scissors
and a trip to the post office,
and if it snows, well would it be sensible to venture the 2miles down the rd

Any one want to start a 'Pole' on all the above plus Parcel forces delivery time
at x-mass. :bigsmile::laugh::laugh:
